Plot

Bonk Choy is excited to see his boxing idol, Grass Knuckles, competing in a live boxing tournament. That is, until a newcomer shows up and obliterates Grass Knuckles, before bullying him. Wanting to avenge his boxing idol, Bonk Choy seeks help from his friends to get into shape so that he can win against the newcomer. Will Bonk Choy be able to deliver his first ever knockout?

Story

In the L.E.A.F. Headquarters living room, Bonk Choy is seen eating popcorn while watching television. He gets excited the moment the live boxing tournament is being broadcast next.

• Bonk Choy: Okay, here it comes! Here it comes! The tournament is about to begin, and Grass Knuckles is there!

Re-Peat Moss walks in with a badminton racket.

• Re-Peat Moss: Hey, Bonk Choy! Wanna play a TRICKY game of badminton?
• Bonk Choy: Geez, Re-Peat Moss! Could you stop making that racket?
• Re-Peat Moss: You mean this one? *points to his badminton racket*
• Bonk Choy: No, I mean...not now, Re-Peat Moss! I'm watching TV!
• Re-Peat Moss: Aw man. Hey, what TRICKY programme are you watching?
• Bonk Choy: A boxing tournament. I've got to watch it!
• Re-Peat Moss: I think I understand why you're excited. You like Grass Knuckles, don't you?
• Bonk Choy: I...I...
• Announcer: And now, ladies and gentlemen, let us introduce the competitors for our first round! In the blue corner we have, the one, the only, Grass Knuckles!

Grass Knuckles steps up into the boxing ring.

• Grass Knuckles: Alright, it's TIME TO SHINE!
• Bonk Choy: Yes, that's my favorite catchphrase!
• Re-Peat Moss: Well, it does sound TRICKY. *notices Bonk Choy glaring at him* In a good way, I suppose. Heh heh.
• Announcer: And in the red corner, we have...
• Bonk Choy: Who is it gonna be?

A hooded figure approaches and enters the boxing ring. The hood is removed to reveal a never-before-seen Bonk Choy boxer.

• Bonk Choy: What the?!
• Re-Peat Moss: Who is that TRICKY opponent?
• Bonk Choy: Never seen him before anywhere, not even on TV.

• Announcer: *to ???* What is your name, rookie?
• ???: You can call me, Boss Choy.
• Bonk Choy: Boss Choy?
• Re-Peat Moss: That doesn't exactly roll off the TRICKY tongue.
• Announcer: Oooh! Boss Choy's the name, huh? What exactly made you want to be part of this exciting tournament?
• Boss Choy: Oh, I've seen Grass Knuckles own his opponents. I'm here to own him!
• Announcer: Nice. Well, I hope you will be able to own the champion title too, because if you defeat Grass Knuckles, you can take over his reign as the boxing champion!
• Boss Choy: I certainly shall.
• Grass Knuckles: Bring it on, let the boxing commence!
• Bonk Choy: Boss Choy defeating Grass Knuckles? Oh please, Grass Knuckles will be able to take care of him, no problem!

The boxing match between Grass Knuckles and Boss Choy begins. Grass Knuckles strikes first, but Boss Choy dodges the attacks, before delivering his first hit at Grass Knuckles' stomach.

• Announcer: Oh, would you look at that! Boss Choy has delivered his first hit on Grass Knuckles!
• Bonk Choy: What? No way!
• Re-Peat Moss: It's just the first ten seconds of this TRICKY match.
• Bonk Choy: You're right. Come on, Grass Knuckles, you can knock him out!

Throughout the first round, Boss Choy has been constantly succeeding in punching Grass Knuckles without even getting hit once. The round has only took place for one minute, until Grass Knuckles is declared to be knocked out.

• Announcer: I can't believe what I just witnessed! Boss Choy has defeated Grass Knuckles! It's a K.O! Boss Choy wins!
• Boss Choy: Oh yeah! I'm the winner! Winner winner chicken dinner! Take that, Grass Knuckles!
• Bonk Choy: Grass Knuckles...lost? But he has never lost before! That's impossible!

Bonk Choy is dismayed while Re-Peat Moss calms him down. What makes him feel worse is what he sees next, as Bonk Choy witnesses Boss Choy punching Grass Knuckles in the back repeatedly even after the boxing match is over.

• Bonk Choy: Hey, stop that!

Bonk Choy gets even more angry as he continues watching Boss Choy brutally punching Grass Knuckles. The last straw comes when he sees Boss Choy chip off one of Grass Knuckles' teeth.

• Re-Peat Moss: Bonk Choy, are you okay? You should calm down...
• Bonk Choy: No, I won't! I can't bear to see that Boss Choy throw his weight around just because his name has "Boss" in it! He may have won against Grass Knuckles, but I won't stand for such an arrogant boxer! I will make sure that I defeat him!
• Re-Peat Moss: This sounds very TRICKY...
• Bonk Choy: I wish I can become a boxer, a real boxer, so that I can box that Boss Choy out of the competition! If Grass Knuckles became a boxer, I don't see why I shouldn't follow into his steps!
• Re-Peat Moss: Bonk Choy...
• Bonk Choy: Do me a favor and please let me be. I want to help, I know I can! But to do that, I'll need help from my friends, and I know just the friends to help! I shall begin my road to becoming a boxer!

Bonk Choy leaves the L.E.A.F. Headquarters, leaving Re-Peat Moss stunned. Green Shadow then shows up, looking bruised.

• Green Shadow: I was out stopping a disaster the evil me Dark Green Shadow is causing. *notices Re-Peat Moss, looking upset* Re-Peat Moss, what's wrong? And where's Bonk Choy?
• Re-Peat Moss: About Bonk Choy, he took the TRICKY path. He wants to be a boxer after seeing Grass Knuckles being hurt live on TV by a new TRICKY boxing champion.
• Green Shadow: New boxing champion?
• Re-Peat Moss: He calls himself Boss Choy. I had a TRICKY vibe from him.
• Green Shadow: I hope he's going to be okay. It's dangerous for him to fight a stronger adversary all by himself. Let's follow him.
• Re-Peat Moss: Good idea.

Green Shadow and Re-Peat Moss attempt to track Bonk Choy down. They find themselves in Icicle Isle, and when they finally found Bonk Choy after a few hours, they see him with Starcade and Kyoji at Kyoji's house, telling them about his problems.

• Starcade: So you're saying that you want to become a boxer just like Grass Knuckles?
• Bonk Choy: Yes. Boss Choy has been using his victory as an advantage to torment Grass Knuckles. I want to get back at him.
• Kyoji: I don't know, Bonk Choy. Revenge isn't the best way to solve problems. You don't want to be like Akasha, do you?
• Bonk Choy: I know, but how else will I avenge Grass Knuckles?
• Kyoji: You can still learn to be a boxer. However, you won't get anywhere if you have the wrong mindset.
• Bonk Choy: Really?

Green Shadow and Re-Peat Moss enter Kyoji's house.

• Green Shadow: There you are, Bonk Choy!
• Re-Peat Moss: You left us worried!
• Bonk Choy: I'm sorry for making you feel that way, I guess I was just carried away by my emotions. I just really wanted to help Grass Knuckles.
• Green Shadow: I'm glad we found you, now let's go back home. Sorry to bother you, Starcade and Kyoji.
• Starcade: No problem.
• Kyoji: Wait a moment.
• Green Shadow: What is it, Kyoji?
• Kyoji: If Bonk Choy wants to learn to be a boxer, I will be more than glad to help him. I see potential in him, he will make a good boxer if he has the will and perseverance to learn to become one. If he gets trained hard enough, he might be a match for Boss Choy.
• Green Shadow: But it's dangerous. He might be killed if he ever gets onto the boxing ring!
• Kyoji: Sometimes the best way to learn is through the hard way. Nothing is as easy as it seems. If Bonk Choy never tries, he will never be the type of boxer he wants to be. I will ensure that Bonk Choy will succeed in his path to becoming a boxer, no matter what it takes.
• Bonk Choy: Problem is, I will need a personal trainer. And I'm afraid of bothering you two.
• Starcade: You need a personal trainer? I think I got that covered.
• Bonk Choy: You did?
• Starcade: I have looked through Grass Knuckles' profile, and it shows that he used to have a personal trainer as well. His name is John David Jackshroom. I bet he'll be able to help you become just like Grass Knuckles.
• Bonk Choy: Just like Grass Knuckles? Cool! Tell me more about this personal trainer!
• Starcade: He's a Grow-Shroom from Suburbia, and he used to be a professional in boxing - Mushroom Class. He's even a top tier boxer! According to this data on my computer, it says that he is currently looking for another student to train and inspire. Maybe you can give it a try.
• Bonk Choy: This is awesome! I can't believe my luck! Thanks Starcade and Kyoji, you're the best!
• Starcade: No problem. I can help you out even more if you like. *winks*
• Kyoji: I suppose I'll be signing you up to be John Jackshroom's student. Starcade, search for the location of John Jackshroom.
• Starcade: You got it! *searches for John Jackshroom's location on her computer*

A minute later...

• Starcade: I found him! He's in his boxing training center located in Suburbia!
• Kyoji: Excellent. I will escort Bonk Choy and sign him up to get him started.
• Bonk Choy: Awesome!
• Re-Peat Moss: I'm coming along too.
• Bonk Choy: Huh?
• Re-Peat Moss: Bonk Choy's my best friend and I want to look out for him. If anything TRICKY happens, I'll be there to help.
• Green Shadow: Good luck then. I will stay with Starcade.
• Kyoji: Alright then. I shall leave Starcade to your care. See you later!
• Green Shadow: Bye!
• Starcade: Bye!

Bonk Choy, Re-Peat Moss and Kyoji set off to meet John Jackshroom in his boxing training center in Suburbia. They arrive and enter the boxing training center an hour later, where they see John Jackshroom comfortably eating spore biscuits while sitting on his office chair.

• Bonk Choy: That's gotta be him!
• Re-Peat Moss: Ya think?
• Kyoji: It is John Jackshroom! You sound excited.
• Bonk Choy: Boy, am I! After all, he's Grass Knuckles' personal trainer!
• Kyoji: Let's get you enrolled then!

Bonk Choy, Re-Peat Moss and Kyoji approach John Jackshroom, who has noticed them.

• John Jackshroom: Howdy, friends! The name's John Jackshroom, what can I do for you?
• Bonk Choy: I heard that you used to be Grass Knuckles' personal trainer! I've seen him on television, he's awesome! Until of course, that Boss Choy took over his champion title.
• John Jackshroom: Boss Choy, you say? Oh yes, I have heard of him. He has defeated Grass Knuckles within a minute!
• Bonk Choy: I know, please don't rub it in. Thanks.
• John Jackshroom: My apologies. Anyway, what can I do for you three little musketeers?
• Bonk Choy: I'm Baxter "Bonk" Choy, but you can just call me Bonk Choy. I'm here as I want to learn to be a boxer just like you and Grass Knuckles!
• Re-Peat Moss: Baxter? Is that your real name?
• Bonk Choy: We'll talk about it next time. *to John Jackshroom* I'm excited to become a boxer, so that I can take down Boss Choy! I...
• John Jackshroom: Hold up, Bonk Choy. What did you say?
• Bonk Choy: So that I can take down Boss Choy?
• John Jackshroom: No, the part before that.
• Bonk Choy: I'm excited to become a boxer?
• John Jackshroom: As much as I hate to say this, but I can't train you. Sorry, Bonk Choy.
• Bonk Choy: But...why not? My friend said that you were looking for a new student to teach! At least, that's what her computer said...
• John Jackshroom: Your friend's computer must have been outdated. Look, I love to see my students grow into professional boxers and be inspired. However, I have just too many Suburbians who want me to teach them to be boxers just like you. In fact, here's my weekly schedule.

John Jackshroom shows Bonk Choy, Re-Peat Moss and Kyoji his weekly schedule.

• Bonk Choy: I see, I understand. I'm sorry I asked.
• John Jackshroom: Don't be. It's just the fact that I have been busy with my students lately. I'd love to help, but my fists are tied. I hope you'll understand.*smiles creepily*

Bonk Choy and Kyoji are dismayed to hear this. However, Re-Peat Moss senses that something is not right as he looks at John Jackshroom expressing his creepy smile.

• Re-Peat Moss: (Hey, something's not right here. Why is John Jackshroom rejecting Bonk Choy?)
• Kyoji: Well, thank you anyway, Mr. Jackshroom. We'll continue to look for other boxing trainers.
• John Jackshroom: No problem. Keep on finding! You will eventually find the right trainer for you!
• Bonk Choy: See you around then.

Bonk Choy, Re-Peat Moss and Kyoji return to Kyoji's house, to tell Green Shadow and Starcade the bad news.

• Green Shadow: So how did it go?
• Kyoji: He rejected to help. He had many students to teach.
• Re-Peat Moss: I did find that trainer to be pretty TRICKY though.
• Kyoji: What?
• Re-Peat Moss: Nothing.
• Kyoji: Anyway, it looks like it's up to us to train Bonk Choy to becoming a boxer.
• Bonk Choy: Oh no, I don't wanna trouble you guys. I can always quit being a boxer.
• Kyoji: We're your friends. And we're not going to let you give up so easily. I will train you to become a boxer myself, but you must be determined. You must do whatever it takes to be one step closer to your goals. Only then will you eventually accomplish them. Bonk Choy, are you ready to become a boxer?

Bonk Choy thinks for a while, before coming to a conclusion.

• Bonk Choy: *gives a determined look* Yes, Kyoji.
• Kyoji: Good. Now let's get training!

The scene cuts to Bonk Choy and Kyoji in Kyoji's personal training room. Kyoji points to a punching bag suspending at one corner in the room.

• Kyoji: Here's your punching bag. Your first task as a beginner is to break the rope that is suspending the punching bag.
• Bonk Choy: Got it!

Bonk Choy attempts to cut the rope on his own, but Kyoji stops him.

• Kyoji: You didn't let me finish. You're supposed to break the rope.
• Bonk Choy: Yeah, that's what you said, wasn't it?
• Kyoji: By punching the punching bag.
• Bonk Choy: But that's impossible! I mean, sure, you could do it. But I'm not sure, you're much stronger in battles than I am.
• Kyoji: Remember what I told you, nothing is as easy as it seems. If you want to be a boxer, you'll have to be taught the hard way. Now get punching.
• Bonk Choy: Okay, here goes nothing...

Bonk Choy punches the punching bag, but it hardly deals any push force onto the punching bag.

• Bonk Choy: I can't do it.
• Kyoji: Yes, you can. You just have to believe in yourself.
• Bonk Choy: But...
• Kyoji: Believing in myself was the main reason I successfully became an ice ninja. To successfully become a boxer, you must do the same.
• Bonk Choy: Do you believe in yourself all the time?
• Kyoji: I do. Even when up against the toughest of enemies. Now then, you're thinking that it's impossible to break the rope by punching the punching bag only, do you?
• Bonk Choy: Exactly. It is impossible!
• Kyoji: No, it is not. Just watch.

Kyoji punches the punching bag, breaking the rope and sending the punching bag flying into a wall.

• Bonk Choy: Woah! You did it just like that? You must be a god!
• Kyoji: Hence, believing in yourself is very important. Nothing is impossible.

Kyoji takes out another piece of rope and ties the punching bag again.

• Kyoji: Now that I've given you a demonstration, I want to see you try.
• Bonk Choy: Okay! I got this, I got this, I got this...

Bonk Choy closes his eyes, and punches the punching bag. However, when he opens his eyes, he realizes that the punching bag has not even moved an inch. It is then revealed that Bonk Choy has missed.

• Bonk Choy: I have tried believing in myself! How did I do even worse than before?
• Kyoji: I see what the problem is. You're not focused enough.
• Bonk Choy: But how? I have been thinking of breaking the rope by punching the punching bag!
• Kyoji: Did you look at your target while doing so?
• Bonk Choy: Uh, nope.
• Kyoji: Self-belief is not the only important factor. You must be focused, with your body and mind set on your goal. You don't have to believe in yourself while closing your eyes. Now try again.
• Bonk Choy: Okay, Bonk Choy. You can do this. Just hit the punching bag.

Bonk Choy punches the punching bag, and realizes that he has done better than his previous two attempts. Still, the punching bag is still suspended in the air.

• Kyoji: Good work, you're getting it. All you need to do now is to continue punching the punching bag, until the rope breaks.
• Bonk Choy: You mean, I have to persevere?
• Kyoji: Precisely.

Bonk Choy continues punching the punching bag with all his body and mind focused to break the rope. Eventually, after five minutes, the rope finally breaks and Bonk Choy is satisfied about his result.

• Bonk Choy: Finally, I did it! I broke the rope!
• Kyoji: Good job, Bonk Choy. But this is not the end, this is only the beginning. The road to being a boxer is long, just like my road to being an ice ninja. Bonk Choy, are you ready to continue?
• Bonk Choy: If I want to be a match for Boss Choy, I will keep practising. I won't give up!
• Kyoji: That's the spirit. Follow me, we have a lot of training ahead of us.

A montage plays of Kyoji training Bonk Choy to become a boxer, through many obstacles, objectives and obstructions. Bonk Choy fares well in every difficult challenge Kyoji throws at him, with the help of what Kyoji taught him. Bonk Choy finally finishes his last challenge for the day at about 8:00PM, when Green Shadow, Re-Peat Moss and Starcade has already left for home.

• Kyoji: Not bad for your first day of training. You have turned out to be remembering what I taught you this morning. We shall call it a day. Now go get some rest, we have another long day of training ahead of us tomorrow.
• Bonk Choy: See you tomorrow, Kyoji!

Bonk Choy and Kyoji split up for the night. Meanwhile, Re-Peat Moss, having sensed something wrong from John Jackshroom earlier, sneaks out of the L.E.A.F. Headquarters and sneaks to John Jackshroom's boxing training center to spy on him.

• Re-Peat Moss: I sure had a TRICKY feeling from that TRICKY boxing trainer, John Jackshroom. I mean, he's nice but how can he reject Bonk Choy just like that? I have to find out what TRICKY reason it is.

Re-Peat Moss arrives outside the boxing training center, and looks through the window. He sees John Jackshroom in his original position, sitting in his chair.

• Re-Peat Moss: That's TRICKY and odd. Didn't he say that he's busy training other students?

Re-Peat Moss continues spying, until he sees someone familiar enter John Jackshroom's office. It's...Boss Choy?

• Re-Peat Moss: Wait, I recognize that TRICKY figure. It's Boss Choy! Boss Choy is John Jackshroom's student? I have to find out what TRICKY thing is going on!

Re-Peat Moss eavesdrops on their conversation as Boss Choy talks to John Jackshroom. Meanwhile, in John Jackshroom's office...

• Boss Choy: So how did it go?
• John Jackshroom: I have suspected that foolish leafy vegetable trying to ask me to teach him to be a boxer. So I rejected him.
• Boss Choy: Do you mean, Bonk Choy?
• John Jackshroom: Yes, of course. And thanks to our plan, check out how much money we made from the boxing tournament this morning!

John Jackshroom takes out a briefcase and opens it, revealing a million dollars.

• Boss Choy: Woah! I can't believe it, our plan worked!
• John Jackshroom: Right? But this is only the beginning. There is another boxing tournament next week. The prize is ten million dollars! Once you're in the boxing ring, the others won't stand a chance to win against us, and we'll be making a lot of money that way! And after that, we'll go for another, and then another, until we have enough money to last us a lifetime!
• Boss Choy: That sounds like a great idea!
• John Jackshroom: Yes, Boss Choy. And now, to make myself comfortable...

Re-Peat Moss continues eavesdropping, until he notices something weird happening to John Jackshroom. He gasps in shock when he finds out what it is.

• Re-Peat Moss: This is TRICKY! Way worse! I knew that TRICKY boxing trainer was up to no good! I must tell the others tomorrow morning!

Re-Peat Moss runs back to the L.E.A.F. Headquarters, still traumatized over what he saw, just before John Jackshroom or Boss Choy looked outside the window. The next morning, Bonk Choy meets Kyoji in his house as arranged for the second day of training.

• Kyoji: You're late.
• Bonk Choy: Heh heh, I'm sorry. I might have overslept a little.
• Kyoji: You have got to cut down that habit. Sometimes being late even by a little can give problems.
• Bonk Choy: I know, I'm sorry.
• Kyoji: Alright, forget about that. Now then, for your second day of training...

Re-Peat Moss busts into Kyoji's house.

• Kyoji: Re-Peat Moss?
• Bonk Choy: What are you doing here?
• Re-Peat Moss: I have some TRICKY news, I mean bad news, to share! It's about that TRICKY boxing trainer we met yesterday!
• Bonk Choy: You mean John Jackshroom?
• Re-Peat Moss: Yes! You see, I had a TRICKY feeling about him after we met him yesterday while attempting to get you enrolled. So I went back to the training center to spy on him, and what I saw next was TRICKY, and then...
• Bonk Choy: Hold up, you spied on him?! How could you do that?
• Re-Peat Moss: Well, I did say I had a TRICKY feeling. So anyway...
• Kyoji: Re-Peat Moss, you should be ashamed of yourself. How could you disregard someone's privacy by spying? John Jackshroom clearly said that he has too many students to teach!
• Re-Peat Moss: But you don't understand!
• Kyoji: Besides, it's dangerous for someone like you to do such a thing. I only snoop on villains to gather information when I am on a mission, not on a boxing trainer.
• Re-Peat Moss: But he is a...
• Kyoji: Re-Peat Moss, I think you should go back to your headquarters and think about what you have done. I don't wish for anyone to cause any further unnecessary trouble.
• Re-Peat Moss: But...
• Kyoji: No buts. I'm telling you this for your own good. Now go.
• Re-Peat Moss: Yeah, you're right. I'll just go.

Re-Peat Moss leaves Kyoji's house, feeling dejected.

• Bonk Choy: Kyoji? You have just upset Re-Peat Moss.
• Kyoji: I know that.
• Bonk Choy: But aren't you going to do anything about it?
• Kyoji: Like I said, sometimes the best way to learn is the hard way. This is just a demonstration. I just hope Re-Peat Moss won't cause any more trouble. Now then, let's begin our second day of training. I have prepared the necessary materials before you came.
• Bonk Choy: Okay then, let's get training.

Kyoji starts training Bonk Choy for the second day. Meanwhile, in L.E.A.F. Headquarters, Re-Peat Moss is attempting to tell what he witnessed last night to Green Shadow and Starcade.

• Green Shadow: You did what?
• Starcade: You mean John Jackshroom is an evil person? He never had a criminal record according to the data on my computer.
• Re-Peat Moss: As much as I'd love to agree with you, dear Starcade, but I discovered that when I was snooping.
• Green Shadow: How could you snoop on him? You're disregarding his privacy!
• Re-Peat Moss: I know, I know...
• Green Shadow: Besides, you could've landed yourself in an ambush! Villains are lurking out there, and I'd be worried if you went missing.
• Starcade: Me too.
• Green Shadow: Don't do it again, Re-Peat Moss. Got it?
• Re-Peat Moss: I understand, I won't be so TRICKY again.
• Green Shadow: Good.

Re-Peat Moss goes back to his bedroom, looking even worse than before. Once he closes the door, he starts breaking down in tears.

• Re-Peat Moss: No one believes me...not even Starcade...no matter what I tell them, they won't hear it. They will never believe the truth even if I try. Even if I tried, they would get angry at me and say that I'm causing trouble. I might as well give up.

Re-Peat Moss spends the rest of the day alone. One week later, Kyoji shows up at the L.E.A.F. Headquarters, looking pleased.

• Starcade: You're here, Kyoji!
• Green Shadow: You're looking excited. What's going on?
• Kyoji: Excited? I'm more than just that, I'm proud of the results of Bonk Choy's training!
• Green Shadow: You are?
• Starcade: How did it go?
• Kyoji: You're about to find out. Allow me to introduce...the new and improved Bonk Choy!

Bonk Choy steps in, looking more buffed than before and wearing boxing gloves.

• Bonk Choy: I'm ready!
• Re-Peat Moss: Bonk Choy, you look great!
• Bonk Choy: Thanks, I couldn't have done it without Kyoji's help.
• Kyoji: So, what do you think? I have arranged for him to be a competitor in the boxing ring. There will be another boxing tournament this afternoon.
• Green Shadow: I still don't know. I mean, you've done a good job training and all, but I'm not sure if Bonk Choy will be able to defeat Boss Choy.
• Starcade: Really? I say he's ready! Go Bonk Choy, show that Boss Choy who's boss!
• Bonk Choy: You don't have to tell me twice!
• Kyoji: Besides, I have bought tickets so that all four of us will have good seats to watch the boxing tournament. I'm pretty hyped to see Bonk Choy's capabilities out in the boxing ring.

• Kyoji: Don't worry, he will. He'll need a cheerleader to cheer him on. Starcade, why don't you be the cheerleader?
• Starcade: Cheerleading? Piece of cake!
• Kyoji: Great! So, Bonk Choy, are you ready for your biggest challenge - the boxing ring?
• Bonk Choy: Yes, I am!

The scene cuts to the boxing tournament, and Green Shadow, Re-Peat Moss and Kyoji are seated. Starcade, on the other hand, is doing her job as Bonk Choy's cheerleader. Bonk Choy is outside the boxing ring preparing to face Boss Choy. Just then, the announcer steps in to begin hosting the boxing tournament.

• Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 20th Suburbian Boxing Tournament 2018! I am your host for today's tournament. Who will be able to defeat last week's champion - Boss Choy? Let's find out!
• Starcade: WOO HOO!!! GO BONK CHOY!
• Kyoji: Good luck, pal! You can do it!
• Re-Peat Moss: Yeah, good luck!

The boxing tournament begins, and Bonk Choy faces off against the other boxing contestants. Bonk Choy wins his first round against another competitor, just before Boss Choy steps up onto the boxing ring for his first round. As he does so, Re-Peat Moss notices John Jackshroom step up as well.

• Re-Peat Moss: Aha! I see you, you little TRICKY boxing trainer!
• Kyoji: Re-Peat Moss, are you still trying to talk about John Jackshroom being a villain?
• Re-Peat Moss: Yes, I mean...no. Just look!

Re-Peat Moss points to John Jackshroom next to Boss Choy.

• Kyoji: I can't believe it! John Jackshroom is here, and he's Boss Choy's trainer?
• Green Shadow: Didn't you guys say that he was busy with other students?
• Kyoji: Yes, we're sure of it! But we had no idea that John Jackshroom is Boss Choy's trainer!
• Re-Peat Moss: That's what I've been trying to tell you for the past week! He's a TRICKY villain in disguise, I saw everything!
• Kyoji: Re-Peat Moss, I still don't see why we should blame him. He's not a villain, he's only a boxing trainer, why would he be up to a scheme?
• Re-Peat Moss: But...
• Kyoji: Just watch the match and cheer up, will you? It's a boxing match after all.
• Re-Peat Moss: *sighs* Yeah, I know. I won't blame him anymore.

Everyone except Re-Peat Moss cheers for the competitors in the boxing match. Bonk Choy and Boss Choy eventually make it past the preliminary round, the quarter final round and the semi final round. Bonk Choy and Boss Choy finally face each other in the final round.

• Announcer: Oh my, looks like we're down to two competitors! Do you know what this means? It means it's time for the final round!

The audience cheers, as Bonk Choy and Boss Choy step into the boxing ring.

• Boss Choy: So you're the new generation of boxers, eh? You look pretty tough there, cookie. I must say that I'm surprised that you even made it past the semi final round. Are you ready to be defeated, just like Grass Knuckles?
• Bonk Choy: Grass Knuckles? Don't remind me of what you did to him! I will make sure that I will win against you in his honor!
• Boss Choy: Win against me? Hmph! In your dreams, small fry. If I can defeat him, I can defeat you too!
• Bonk Choy: We'll see about that once I get my leaves on you!
• Announcer: Are you ready, boys, for your final boxing match of the tournament?
• Boss Choy: Of course.
• Bonk Choy: Yes, bring it on!
• Announcer: Then without further ado, let the final round begin!

The final round begins, as Bonk Choy and Boss Choy face-off each other, with the entire audience except Re-Peat Moss watching the match. Re-Peat Moss, on the other hand, keeps watching John Jackshroom from his seat. Unlike the previous matches, Bonk Choy is losing out on this one due to his memories of Boss Choy's actions on Grass Knuckles flooding into his brain.

• Bonk Choy: Must...get...revenge!

However, Bonk Choy finds himself missing his punches and getting punched brutally by Boss Choy. Bonk Choy falls to the ground in everyone's shock after receiving a jab in the stomach.

• Boss Choy: Ready to give up yet? You look pretty knocked out there.
• Bonk Choy: I will not give up to the likes of you, Boss Choy!
• Kyoji: Bonk Choy, fighting for revenge won't solve anything, remember?
• Bonk Choy: But...if I don't fight for revenge, I won't be able to fight!
• Kyoji: If you can't, then you must! Just believe in yourself, you can do it!
• Starcade: Yeah, you can do it, Bonk Choy!
• Bonk Choy: Believe in myself...okay, believing in myself...I can do this! I can beat Boss Choy! I can become the boxer I've always wanted to be!

Bonk Choy stands up and fights. To his astonishment, he finds himself doing much better than before, as Boss Choy takes brutal hits from Bonk Choy's punches. Boss Choy then falls to the ground.

• Bonk Choy: I did it!

John Jackshroom then fires a projectile at Boss Choy, making him stronger than before. Re-Peat Moss notices this. Boss Choy then stands up and slams the ground, creating cracks.

• Boss Choy: You defeat me? You may have proven to be strong, but no boxer has ever came close to my true strength! Witness my greatness!

Boss Choy strikes again at Bonk Choy, even breaking through Bonk Choy's blocks. Bonk Choy is then sent flying across a corner of the boxing ring. Boss Choy gives an evil smirk, and is about to deliver the final blow. Re-Peat Moss is watching, and his mind is beginning to have internal conflicts about what to do.

• Re-Peat Moss: (Bonk Choy is in trouble! I have to do something! But if I do, the others will be angry at me. They might even stop being friends with me! But on the other hand, if I don't do something, Bonk Choy might be killed! I don't know, shall I reveal the truth and save Bonk Choy's life, or keep the truth from everyone else and save my friendships?)

Re-Peat Moss then sees John Jackshroom firing more projectiles at Boss Choy, making him even stronger than before. Bonk Choy looks bruised and is unable to fight back. Re-Peat Moss gets more worried by the second.

• Re-Peat Moss: (No, Bonk Choy is my best friend! Friendships can be broken, but not lives! Besides that, honesty is the best policy! And I won't let that villain get away with his scheme! I know just what to do!)

Meanwhile, in the boxing ring, Bonk Choy is bruised up and Boss Choy is laughing at Bonk Choy's state.

• Boss Choy: Look at you! You look like a clown with lots of red noses! Speaking of clowns, you're a laughing stock! Admit it, you were never a great boxer, and will never be! Because I'm the greatest of all boxers!
• Re-Peat Moss: I have to save Bonk Choy! *gets up from his seat*
• Kyoji: Re-Peat Moss, what are you doing?
• Green Shadow: Are you going in there?
• Re-Peat Moss: Yes, I am! I'm going in there to stop that TRICKY boxer from hurting my best friend!
• Green Shadow: But it's too dangerous!
• Re-Peat Moss: I'm not letting that TRICKY fact stop me this time, Green Shadow. I'm going in!
• Starcade: Re-Peat Moss, wait!
• Green Shadow: Come back!

Re-Peat Moss angrily leaps at Boss Choy, knocking him onto the ground before he can completely defeat Bonk Choy. He then absorbs the projectiles that hit Boss Choy, before ejecting them from his body, revealing the projectiles to be green glowing spores.

• Re-Peat Moss: I'm sorry, everyone! I must stop this TRICKY ruse from continuing further! But do you know what is the TRICKY ingredient that has been helping the TRICKY boxer Boss Choy become a better boxer than Bonk Choy?

Re-Peat Moss points to the green glowing spores next to Boss Choy. The audience gasps in horror.

• Kyoji: What is that?
• Green Shadow: They're spores. They're not ordinary though.
• Starcade: *scans the spores with her phone and gasps* I know what type of spores these are! They are Grow-Spores, a vital ingredient to build up strength quickly!
• Kyoji: So Re-Peat Moss, you were trying to tell us that Boss Choy has been cheating the whole time?
• Re-Peat Moss: That's right, Kyoji! But he wasn't the only TRICKY culprit.
• Green Shadow: Who's the other culprit?
• Re-Peat Moss: Perhaps you'd like to speak to the TRICKY boxing trainer, John Jackshroom!

The spotlight shines on John Jackshroom.

• Re-Peat Moss: I knew he was up to no good. Now it finally makes sense, he's a TRICKY Grow-Shroom! Grow-Shrooms produce these Grow-Spores which are used to build up strength! John Jackshroom is the TRICKY mastermind behind this whole TRICKY madness!
• John Jackshroom: Me? Being the mastermind? It's not my doing!
• Re-Peat Moss: Sure...
• John Jackshroom: I'm being serious, it's not my doing! I have nothing to do with it!
• Re-Peat Moss: Please, you have caused enough TRICKY trouble for one day, TRICKY carbon-copy of mine.
• Starcade: Carbon-copy?
• Kyoji: What is he talking about?
• John Jackshroom: Carbon-copy, you say? Well, you're mistaken, my friend. But I do happen to know about someone who has been pretending to be me the whole time.
• Green Shadow: What?
• Kyoji: No way!
• John Jackshroom: There he is! He's getting away!

John Jackshroom points to the fake John Jackshroom trying to nuzzle his way through the crowd to escape the stadium.

• Re-Peat Moss: That has to be the TRICKY culprit! And I know who he truly is.

Re-Peat Moss chases after the fake John Jackshroom and pins him down. Suddenly, the fake John Jackshroom grows into a giant. His cap opens, revealing a cockpit with Re-Peat Boss in it.

• Kyoji: He was a robot the whole time?
• Green Shadow: Say what?
• Starcade: Re-Peat Boss?!
• Re-Peat Boss: Yes, it's me, you fools! And you have foiled my plans for the last time!
• Kyoji: Re-Peat Boss, why are you doing this? Care to explain yourself?
• Re-Peat Boss: Of course! You see...

Flashback to one week ago, where Re-Peat Boss was in his lair repairing his machines.

• Re-Peat Boss: Being a sole villain sure is lonely and hard to keep up. I don't even have an idea in mind on how I could defeat the Locked Room Gang again! All my previous ideas have failed! Now if there's only some way I can defeat the Locked Room Gang!

Re-Peat Boss turns on the television, and comes across an advertisement about last week's boxing tournament.

• Announcer: The 19th Suburbian Boxing Tournament 2018 is live today at 5PM on Channel Suburbia! Sign up today and stand a chance to win $1,000,000 in the boxing tournament!
• Re-Peat Boss: That's a lot of money, but...*turns off the television*...how am I going to beat someone on my own? Wait a minute, I have a brilliant idea! What if I get someone else to do it for me? This will simultaneously free my soul from solitude and if he wins, he'll take home the prize money! I'll make a boxing plant, and I know just how to do it!

Re-Peat Boss sends out a mosquito drone to suck Bonk Choy's DNA, before fusing it into a plant cell. After inputting some genetic modifications, he successfully creates an evil counterpart of Bonk Choy.

• Re-Peat Boss: I did it! He's alive!
• ???: Where am I? Who am I?
• Re-Peat Boss: Greetings! I am your best friend, Re-Peat Boss!
• ???: I never met you before. Nor do I have a name.
• Re-Peat Boss: Hmm...I think I'll call you Boss Choy!
• Boss Choy: Sounds epic! I get to be a boss just like you!
• Re-Peat Boss: Well, not really per se, it's just a name.
• Boss Choy: Oh. What am I doing here?
• Re-Peat Boss: You're going to help me through boxing to earn enough money for the both of us! Here's the plan: I will pretend to be Grass Knuckles' personal boxing trainer, John David Jackshroom. Right now, he's out of town searching for new students. You might not stand a chance by yourself out there in the boxing, but with my help, I will guarantee us our victories for the upcoming boxing tournaments in the future! That way, we will earn enough money to make machines no one has ever seen before, even better than Bright Spark, even better than Dr. Zack, even better than any other villain throughout the entire universe!
• Boss Choy: I don't understand a thing. Could you "Re-Peat" that?
• Re-Peat Boss: Ugh, fine. I'll write it for you. *writes down his masterplan for Boss Choy to see* Now, do you understand?
• Boss Choy: Yes, Re-Peat Boss! Let's get going!
• Re-Peat Boss: That's the spirit! There's no way the Locked Room Gang can stop us now!

Re-Peat Boss and Boss Choy runs out to execute their masterplan. The flashback ends.

• Re-Peat Boss: You may have foiled the masterplan, but none of you will stand a chance against my ultimate creation - the John Jackshroom Bot! I made some modifications, they're BIG!
• Kyoji: You will never get away with this!
• Starcade: We will stop you no matter what!
• Re-Peat Boss: Ah, typical Locked Room fools. As usual, they claim that they will stop me. But this time, the villain shall win!
• John Jackshroom: How dare you pretend to be me, imposter?
• Kyoji: John Jackshroom, no!

John Jackshroom attempts to use his boxing skills on the John Jackshroom Bot, but Re-Peat Boss fires a spore bomb to knock him out.

• Re-Peat Boss: I don't get why you wanted to train others to box to begin with. You're just as pathetic as every other boxer.
• ???: You can't speak to John Jackshroom like that, Re-Peat Boss!
• Re-Peat Boss: And who exactly dares to challenge me, the almighty Re-Peat Boss?

Bonk Choy steps out of the stadium, still looking bruised all over. He drags an unconscious Boss Choy out with him.

• Re-Peat Boss: You? Please, I can just effortlessly toss you away.
• Bonk Choy: Not so simple anymore, eh? Check out what I brought back from the stadium!

Bonk Choy throws Boss Choy in front of Re-Peat Boss's John Jackshroom Bot.

• Re-Peat Boss: Please...You may have discovered the truth about my scheme, but you're no match for my power! Same goes for your friends!
• Bonk Choy: Wait what?

The John Jackshroom Bot reveals a giant mechanical arm and grabs Green Shadow, Re-Peat Moss, Starcade and Kyoji. As the mechanical arm retracts, the four of them are dragged into the John Jackshroom Bot, before being trapped inside a cell with a clear crystal surface.

• Bonk Choy: Looks like it's up to me to save my friends now...

Bonk Choy remembers that Re-Peat Boss didn't manage to take the real John Jackshroom with him. He then goes to John Jackshroom while Re-Peat Boss is busy tormenting his friends.

• Bonk Choy: John Jackshroom! Are you alright?
• John Jackshroom: No, Baxter. I don't think I have much strength left in me. Re-Peat Boss has gotten me good with his weaponry.
• Bonk Choy: Don't die on me! Wait, you know my real name?
• John Jackshroom: Of course! Since Re-Peat Boss was using my computer while I was away in my travels while posing as me, I received an update through my mobile phone. I had access to all the events that took place in my office, including your attempt to register for my class.
• Bonk Choy: But, why do you have to come all the way here? It wasn't necessary. And because of that, you're about to die...*starts tearing up*
• John Jackshroom: Don't worry about me, you should be worried about your friends. Re-Peat Boss has them captured.
• Bonk Choy: But...I don't know how to save them. I don't think I have what it takes to beat that robot!
• John Jackshroom: Hey pal. You were great out there in the boxing tournament! And do you know how you could become the champion? That's because you believed in yourself. If you could believe in yourself to become a successful boxer, you will be able to believe that you can save your friends. Remember, never give up! You have my support, as well as everyone else's. Please hurry, the fate of the universe lies on you...

John Jackshroom falls unconscious as he loses his strength, passing away. Bonk Choy is shocked and upset at this happening, and cries.

• Bonk Choy: John Jackshroom? Please don't die on me! No, this can't be happening! It can't be! I must be seeing things! *breaks down in tears*
• Re-Peat Boss: Talk about a bottom-TEAR competitor. You're crying over that old mushroom who calls himself a boxing trainer?
• Bonk Choy: You monster! You killed John Jackshroom!
• Re-Peat Boss: Eh, I'm a villain. Killing is what I do best. And you're next if you don't surrender to me now!

Re-Peat Boss presses a button, unleashing all of the weapons stored in the John Jackshroom Bot and pointing them at Bonk Choy.

• Re-Peat Boss: I must admit, you were pretty impressive out there in the boxing ring. I'm getting that prize money and no one, not even you, can stop me!
• Bonk Choy: You're just a pathetic loser! Only winners take the prize money!
• Re-Peat Boss: I was never a loser. My defeats mean nothing but progress. And I'm just a few steps away from complete victory! So hand over the money at once!
• Bonk Choy: You'll have to go through me then! I won't let you take the prize money on my watch!
• Re-Peat Boss: Sorry, but there will always be times when you don't get what you want. THIS is one of those times.

Re-Peat Boss unleashes the mechanical arm and reaches into the stadium for the prize money. Once he seizes the money bags, the mechanical arm retracts. Bonk Choy grabs the mechanical arm and pulls the money bags towards him.

• Re-Peat Boss: Give them to me! I earned it!
• Bonk Choy: Boss Choy lost to me, remember? I won't!
• Re-Peat Boss: You had better or your grave will be the only prize you'll truly get!
• Bonk Choy: I don't think so!

Bonk Choy hops onto the mechanical arm, and punches it rapidly, until it breaks.

• Re-Peat Boss: You'll pay for that!
• Bonk Choy: No, I won't!
• Re-Peat Boss: Oh yes, you will!

Re-Peat Boss fires a cluster of spore bombs at Bonk Choy. At first, Bonk Choy is uncertain of his next course of action, and is about to flee from battle until he remembers everything Kyoji and John Jackshroom said to him.

• Bonk Choy: If they say that I can do it, I must do it!
• Re-Peat Boss: What can you do?
• Bonk Choy: Make your robot explode!
• Re-Peat Boss: We'll see about that. You'll be the one who explodes first!

Re-Peat Boss fires more spore bombs at Bonk Choy. Bonk Choy punches every single one of them, deflecting them back to the John Jackshroom Bot.

• Re-Peat Boss: Aw crap!

A series of explosions occurs, as Re-Peat Boss is sent flying into the air and the John Jackshroom Bot blows up to smithereens. When the smoke clears, Bonk Choy does not see his friends anywhere. He gets worried.

• Bonk Choy: Green Shadow? Re-Peat Moss? Starcade? Kyoji?

Bonk Choy continues to search for his friends, but he is still unable to find them. He starts crying again, while sitting next to a clear crystal container.

• Bonk Choy: What do I do? How will I face the rest of the gang now? They'll surely kill me when they find out what happened to my friends!
• ???: They won't.
• Bonk Choy: Who said that?

Bonk Choy turns and notices the clear crystal container where Green Shadow, Re-Peat Moss, Starcade and Kyoji are in. It is revealed that the four of them have survived the explosion as the clear crystal container protected them.

• Kyoji: You did it! You believed in yourself!
• Bonk Choy: Well, I guess I did.
• Re-Peat Moss: Bonk Choy, I'm so proud of you! You drove those TRICKY carbon-copies of ours away!
• Bonk Choy: Ours? Don't you mean?
• Starcade: I have scanned Boss Choy's DNA with my phone, and results show that it's yours. Which means that Boss Choy is nothing more than your evil counterpart!
• Bonk Choy: I...wow...that actually makes a whole lot of sense. He looks a lot like me.
• Green Shadow: Well, how are we getting out?
• Bonk Choy: Even if I believe in myself, there's no way I could punch through crystal. *notices a door handle* Wait a minute!

Bonk Choy frees the captives, as they rush out to hug him. Suddenly, the announcer of the boxing tournament shows up.

• Announcer: That was a spectacular match! But we have come to the end of today's boxing tournament, folks. Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to announce the winner of the 20th Suburbian Boxing Tournament 2018 - Baxter Bonk Choy!
• ???: I'll be giving the trophy. *to Bonk Choy* Well done, young hero. You managed to become just like me after all.

??? steps out and to Bonk Choy's surprise, it is Grass Knuckles himself!

• Bonk Choy: Grass Knuckles?! Is that you?
• Grass Knuckles: Yes, it's me. I have heard the news of you trying to become a boxer to avenge for what happened to me last week. Fortunately, my injuries are short-lived so I'm fine now.
• Bonk Choy: But Grass Knuckles, I earned this trophy for you.
• Grass Knuckles: Nah, you deserve that trophy more than I do. After all, you were in the boxing tournament, not me. So keep it, you earned it, pal.
• Bonk Choy: Grass Knuckles, I don't know what to say...thank you.
• Grass Knuckles: Eh, don't mention it. You deserve it more than I do. In fact, I'm looking forward to seeing you in future boxing tournaments! You did great this time!
• Green Shadow: You sure did, Bonk Choy.
• Starcade: Kudos! *winks*
• Bonk Choy: I guess this means it's my "TIME TO SHINE", huh?

Everyone laughs at Bonk Choy's joke.

• Kyoji: Well, let's head home.
• Bonk Choy: Being a boxer is fun! Too bad John Jackshroom isn't here to celebrate.
• Green Shadow: Don't worry, we'll remember him from the bottom of our hearts.
• Re-Peat Moss: Yeah, he turned out to be a kind-hearted boxing trainer. Not the TRICKY type at all.
• Kyoji: By the way, Re-Peat Moss, you have my apologies. I should've listened to you when I had the chance. I had no idea that Re-Peat Boss was pretending to be John Jackshroom.
• Re-Peat Moss: It's alright, Kyoji. It happens.
• Bonk Choy: Well, now that I have become a successful boxer, what do I do now?
• Kyoji: Well, practice makes perfect. We won't stop training just because you won a tournament. We'll be continuing training tomorrow. What do you say?
• Bonk Choy: Let's do it! I want to continue being a boxer!
• Kyoji: That's the spirit!
• Green Shadow: Now let's go tell the others about our adventure!
• Starcade: Yeah, let's go!
• Re-Peat Moss: Okay!

With Boss Choy and Re-Peat Boss defeated, it is a big win for the Locked Room Gang, as not only have they averted yet another disaster, but Bonk Choy has also decided to share the prize money with everyone after being satisfied by the events that took place. The gang also goes to pay respects to John Jackshroom for his efforts on occasion, but apart from that, everything else is back to normal.
